I got married over 15 years ago, so I knew the joy, expectations, stories and feelings that go into a wedding long before I’d picked up a camera to film other people walk the aisle. Having experienced married life first helps give me a clear idea of how to tell the story, what I wish I would’ve had on film, what actually matters years later and how a bride and groom really want to feel.
It should be nothing less than an incredibly fun time. Tons of positive emotions are flying around, everyone’s laughing and smiling, celebration is in the air, and a couple should be right in the center of it instead of stressed out on the sidelines. The enemy of fun is stress, so I bring an extra dose of enthusiastic energy to the day to make sure everyone from your great aunt to the little ring bearers are all grinning ear to ear.
What makes having fun easier is feeling at ease, so forget some strange camera in your face. It’s not that. It’s actually the opposite. I put you at ease so you forget there’s a camera even there. Since I’m easy-breezy and mildly quirky, chances are good you’ll even forget that you hired me. I’ll seem way more like a friend you’ve known forever.
While this is all happening, you’re getting a cinematic film you won’t ever forget. With over ten years of wedding film experience, a second shooter always on hand and whip-quick editing skills (My films are usually completed within 10 days of your wedding day), I’m creating on film what you envision in your head, but better.
